7 Lifestyle Hacks to Take Into 2024

Earlier this month I became more organized about mindset shifts that elevate my energy and make me feel more at ease. I wrote these self-care hacks down into my new planner and wanted to share them with you. I strongly believe in pausing amid a hectic schedule by prioritizing rituals of regenerative self-care - many of us forget during stressful times when we need them the most. Once I mindfully infused my days with self-care maintenance, I felt I was able to access more strength and gratitude. I also believe that when we vibrate at a higher energy our compassion and love go out to the world.

Get a Hotel Room 

Or better yet, make your bedroom into one. Keep your bedside tidy and put on your favorite sheets. A messy and cluttered room only adds to a stressful lifestyle. Aside from making your bed every morning and keeping your space tidy, consider editing your decor by removing unnecessary things from your bedroom and closet. You’ll be surprised how shifting to a more minimalistic style helps with the quality of sleep and makes you feel lighter and less stressed. Consider donating the items you no longer need to someone in need. 


Write it Out!

Starting a morning journal might sound like a big undertaking, and yet it couldn’t be easier. Start your day by writing 2-3 pages of anything that comes to mind - this will help you reduce stress and anxiety while finding inspiration. Leonardo da Vinci drew some incredible invention ideas in his journals and you’ll never know what lands on your pages until you try. Journaling is great for brainstorming while giving our minds a gentle massage. 


Feel Good Tunes

Create a personal feel-good playlist filled with music that makes you feel light and worry-free. Music can have such big effects on our minds, moods, and nervous systems. Once I hear a song I enjoy or connect with on a deeper level  - I can feel my mood lift and become more aware of my breath and thoughts. 


Soak it Out

Immerse yourself in water for all the right reasons - water soaking offers more than leisure as it can be a profound source of rejuvenation. Whether it's soaking in the bathtub, a dip in the ocean, or a refreshing swim at a pool, the benefits are plentiful. Water has the magical ability to wash away stress, soothe tired muscles, and invigorate the spirit. Beyond the physical benefits, it provides a tranquil escape and a moment to unwind in a world often moving too fast. So, next time you're debating between a shower and a bath remember: soaking in water is a therapeutic pause for both body and soul

Embrace the benefits of sweat from a dry sauna, infrared, or steam as a wellness ritual with a myriad of benefits. The heat induces a gentle, cleansing sweat that rids the body of toxins, leaving you feeling refreshed and revitalized. Beyond the physical detox, these moments of heat therapy relax muscles, ease tension, and promote a profound sense of well-being. 


What Are You Thinking?

Negative thinking can powerfully create unwanted feelings and events. The power of our thoughts is profound and can shape our perceptions and influence the course of our lives. Negative thinking, in particular, can create barriers and limit our potential. When we consistently harbor any thoughts, they tend to materialize into self-fulfilling prophecies, affecting our mood, behavior, and overall well-being. Recognizing the strength of your thoughts is the first step toward cultivating a positive mindset. So pay attention to them and shift them into positive thoughts whenever you catch yourself thinking something negative about yourself and others.

Connecting to nature is important for our well-being, and it shapes how we protect it.
