The Year of the Horse

At Sóley Organics, our inspiration comes from nature, tradition and the shared wisdom of humanity. While our roots are firmly grounded in Icelandic nature our outlook is open and curious and we find inspiration in traditions from around the world.

The Chinese zodiac is one such tradition.

The Chinese Lunar New Year in 2026 began on February 17, marking the Year of the Fire Horse, also known as the Red Horse.

For thousands of years Chinese tradition has offered a poetic way of understanding time, energy and human nature through symbols drawn from the natural world. Each animal represents qualities we all recognize, strength, gentleness, courage, patience and transformation. These are universal themes that transcend borders and languages.

As the Chinese New Year arrives we like to pause and honor a time of renewal, intention and fresh beginnings. It is a moment to reflect on what we are ready to leave behind and what we wish to invite in.

This year the Red Horse symbolizes strength, freedom, passion and forward movement. The Horse carries powerful energy it encourages courage, independence and trust in one’s own inner rhythm reminding us that growth often comes from daring to move forward with an open heart.

At Sóley Organics we deeply resonate with this energy. Nature teaches us that nothing stands still. Seasons change, plants grow, rest and return again—each cycle holding its own wisdom. The Year of the Red Horse invites us to reconnect with this natural flow, to listen to our instincts and to move with intention rather than haste.

May this year bring you:
• Balance between strength and softness
• The courage to follow your own path
• Renewal, vitality and grounded joy

From all of us at Sóley Organics, we wish you a harmonious and beautiful Chinese New Year.
