Have you ever wondered why Valentine’s Day exists — or who Valentine really was?
The story reaches back centuries to ancient Rome. Valentine was a priest living at a time when love was not always celebrated freely. According to legend, marriage was forbidden for young soldiers, but Valentine believed deeply in love, connection, and commitment. In secret, he married couples who were in love — risking his life to do so.
When his actions were discovered, Valentine was imprisoned and later executed on February 14th.
Over time, his courage, kindness, and belief in love became a symbol. Valentine came to represent devotion, compassion, and the idea that love is always worth standing up for.
Today, Valentine’s Day is a gentle invitation to pause and offer love — through words, gestures, or thoughtful gifts chosen with intention.
However you choose to celebrate, we hope your Valentine’s Day is filled with warmth, meaning, and connection.
