Winter has arrived but it still looks and feels like autumn. My garden covered in yellow, red and orange coloured leaves is a beautiful thing to behold. The day passes sooner and when it gets dark I like to light a candle or two, throw on a pair of woollen socks and let my mind wonder while enjoying a nice cup of tea.
Last night I made tea from yarrow which I handpicked with my daughter in Reykholtsdalur earlier this week. Yarrow is an amazing herb which I use in a number of my products and I'm happy to share with you this humble tea recipe.
Yarrow tea:
- Dried yarrow leaves
- Boiling water
- Honey/Stevia/Sugar
Add a teaspoon of dried yarrow leaves to a cup of boiling water. Add a sweetener of your choice, I sometimes use a little bit of honey. Note that the herb itself is a little bit sweet so adding a sweetener is optional.
